If you want to pay with cash, you must complete an additional step to verify your account and help ensure the security in the Uber app. If you have already paid for a trip in cash, you will not need to follow this step.
You have two options to verify your account:
1. Upload a photo with one of the accepted IDs (see list below). You have 3 attempts to upload your ID, so make sure your photo is clear, in focus, and all required information is legible. The verification process takes just a minute, and you should be able to ride with Uber immediately after a successful verification.
2. Add a digital payment method to your account. Even if you have a credit card on your account, you can select cash as the payment method.
The only information visible to the Driver is your name and rating. Your personal data remains private and is never shared.
Accepted documents:
- DNI.
- Drivers license.
- Passport.
