UberX Share provides a shared ride experience that is more affordable than an Uber X trip. You can save up to 20% when matched with a rider along your route.
The app will match you with riders going your way to help make sure any additional pickups won’t increase your estimated arrival time. If the system does not match you with a co-rider, the cost of the trip will be equal to the price you were shown at the time it was requested.
To make traveling with UberX Share enjoyable, please read the rules below:
- You can only request an UberX Share trip for 1 passenger.
- After requesting an UberX Share trip, you will not be able to change your pickup address or destination.
- Cancellation of an UberX Share trip is free for the first 2 minutes after it’s been accepted by the driver. If you cancel your trip after 2 minutes or more, a cancellation fee will apply.
- The driver must wait for you at the pickup location for at least 2 minutes. After 2 minutes of waiting, the driver can cancel the trip. In this case, a cancellation fee will be applied.
