Adding money as a payment method to your account is very simple, just follow the steps:
Please note that it is not possible to change your cash payment method during or after your trip. For this reason, if you don’t have enough cash, change your payment method before requesting the trip.
You can change the payment method in the app after selecting the pick-up and drop-off locations for your trip, in the profile bar just above the REQUEST UBERX option.
You can check the estimated cost of the trip in the app before making your request, thus ensuring that you will have the amount you need. Another tip is to have change and a little more than the estimated value, as traffic, detours or other small changes can change the final value of the trip.
When you arrive, make the payment to the partner, who will have the final amount to be paid on the screen of his app. If he doesn’t have change, you can request change in Uber Cash, which will be available in your account to use on any product on our platform.
If you have an outstanding amount from a previous trip and you have selected the option to pay on your next trip, this amount may be reflected in the final amount of the current trip.
