The Uber Eats app will only let you cancel an order AFTER placing it but BEFORE the restaurant has confirmed they received your order. In these instances where you can cancel the order yourself, a refund for the order is automatically triggered.
To cancel an order during this time frame:
1. Tap the receipt icon found on the bottom menu bar
2. Tap "CANCEL ORDER" at the bottom of the order tracking screen
3. Confirm the request by tapping "CANCEL ORDER" again in the confirmation screen
If the restaurant has already started preparing your food, you'll need to contact our support team to cancel the order. We can often still cancel your order in these instances, but will be unable to issue a refund.
