Gift cards can be redeemed as Uber Money on your Uber account. To redeem a gift card: Make sure you have the latest version of the Uber app.
Once you set up an Uber Money account, and verify your identity, you can redeem gift cards up to the value of £6,000 per month as Uber Money to your account.
HOW TO USE GIFT CARD
Gift cards can be used for rides or Uber Eats orders. When you redeem your gift card as Uber Money, it will only be applied to the currency of the country you’re taking your trips in. If you purchase Uber Money in the United Kingdom, you will not be able to use it in another country. When you want to use your Uber Money balance to pay for trips or eats’ orders, you’ll need to select Uber Money as your payment method while requesting a ride or before confirming your ride. To do this: Enter your destination/Choose your order Tap your payment method Select Uber Money as payment method
You don’t need an alternative payment method to use your Uber Money for a trip as long as your trip doesn’t exceed your balance. If your balance is less than the cost of your trip you’ll be prompted to redeem an additional gift card or add an alternative payment method for the remaining cost.
