The “CA Driver Benefits” fee, implemented on December 14th, 2020, helps us fund the new benefits offered to drivers thanks to the passing of Prop 22. These benefits include a healthcare stipend to help cover the cost of their insurance plan, additional insurance coverage in case they become injured in an accident, a minimum earnings guarantee to ensure they make at least 120% of the minimum wage for their active time, among others.
With Prop 22, drivers and delivery people now have what they’ve been asking for: continued flexibility, plus the benefits they want and deserve.
