How do I update or delete a payment method?

You can update or delete payment methods using the Uber or Uber Eats app.

  1. Select “Account” and then “Wallet.”
  2. Select the payment option.
  3. Tap “Edit” to update the payment info, or tap “Remove payment method” to delete.
  4. Be sure to tap “Save” or “Confirm” when you’re done.

You can only edit a debit or credit card’s expiration date, CVV number, and billing zip or postal code. While the card number can’t be edited, the card can be removed from your account and then added again as a new payment method.

Your account must have at least one payment method at all times. If you wish to delete your only payment method, you’ll need to add a new one first.

Adding a payment method

  1. Tap ‘Account’, then ‘Wallet’
  2. Tap ‘Add Payment’
  3. Add a payment method by scanning a card, manually entering card info, or adding an alternative payment type.

Scanning a credit or debit card

  1. To scan a card, tap the camera icon in the “Card Number” bar. Your phone may ask permission for the app to use the camera.
  2. Center your card in your phone’s screen so that all 4 corners flash green. Cards with embossed letters and numbers are typically easiest to scan.
  3. Enter the card’s expiration date, CVV number, and billing ZIP code or postal code.
  4. Tap “Save.”
