What is Uber One for Students?

With Uber One for Students, eligible students can access benefits such as savings on Uber and Uber Eats for 49 MXN a month or 490 MXN annually.

Uber One members receive the following benefits for Rides and from merchants and stores marked with the gold Uber One icon beneath their name:

• 0 MXN delivery cost on unlimited orders on Uber Eats
• 0 MXN service fee on unlimited Restaurant orders
• 5% back in Uber One credits on unlimited Uber trips
• Access to top rated drivers best rated by users
• Premium Support
• Uber One Exclusives

Benefits available only for eligible stores marked with the Uber One icon. 159 MXN minimum order to receive 0 MXN Delivery Fee and 0 MXN Service Fee from participating Restaurant stores. 199 MXN minimum order to receive 0 MXN Delivery Fee from Convenience stores and 500 MXN minimum order for rest of stores. The benefit of 0 Service Fee only applies to Uber Eats restaurant orders. 5% in Uber One Credits earned after completion of eligible rides. These credits will expire 60 days after being granted and you can find them in the Uber Cash section. Other fees and exclusions may apply. Purchasing Uber One for Students

Eligible users can purchase Uber One for Students membership directly in the Uber Eats app:

1. Select Account in the lower-right corner
2. Select Uber One and then Continue
3. Select Student and follow the prompts to enroll

Keep in mind:

• You won’t be charged until you verify your student status and any free trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically. The subscription fee is non-refundable once charged to you, but you can cancel and manage your membership at any time in the app.
• You must have the latest version of the app to purchase.

Accepted payment methods

You can use a debit card, credit card or PayPal to purchase or renew Uber One for Students. To register or use any of the mentioned payment methods:

1. Go to the main menu of your account and select Uber One
2. Go to Manage Membership
3. In the payment details, select Change

Any Uber Credits can be used towards the recurring student subscription. On the Manage membership page, you can update payment details to turn on Uber Credits.

Verifying student eligibility

To qualify for Uber One for Students, you’ll need to provide the following information:

• First name
• Last name
• Birthday (must be 18 years or older)
• School email address
• Organization (university)

Once your information is verified, your membership will begin immediately. If we’re unable to verify you, we’ll request more information.

By signing up, you acknowledge and agree that Uber will use your information to confirm your eligibility for Uber One for Students through a trusted partner and according to Uber’s Privacy Notice.

Who verifies eligibility?

We’ve partnered with SheerID to verify your eligibility for Uber One for Students.

SheerID is an identity verification platform that specializes in identity attribute verification. We’ll share your first name and last name, birthday, school email address, and organization with SheerID. If SheerID can’t automatically confirm your student status, they may ask you to share additional information, including documents such as transcripts, college class schedules, or tuition receipts to support your application.

SheerID will only use your information to verify your eligibility for Uber One for Students as instructed by Uber and will never rent or sell your information. SheerID doesn’t store documents or images uploaded to their system. You can learn more about SheerID’s student eligibility verification process on their website.

Information SheerID keeps

To help the annual renewal of Uber One for Students, SheerID will keep your information for up to 2 years, except for any documents you were asked to upload, which will be deleted within 24 hours. That way, you won’t have to re-enter your information every year to confirm you’re still eligible for Uber One for Students.

If you don’t want SheerID to keep your information, you can request its deletion.
