I have a payment method issue

There can be times when you might face difficulty with a particular payment method. We suggest you follow these steps to ensure you are not facing any app induced issues.

  1. Delete the app and reinstall it directly from Play store/ App store which will ensure you’re using the latest version available and will resolve any known issues
  2. In case an older version has been downloaded, update the app to the latest version
  3. If the issue still persists, please try logging in from a different device to understand if the issue is with the device.
  4. Delete and re-add the payment methods and try clearing the charge. Please note that if only one non-cash payment method is available on your account, you’ll have to add an alternate payment method to delete and re-add the existing payment method.

Note: * If you’re adding an Indian-issued card outside of India, update the country field to reflect the country you are currently located. * If you have already added a card and can’t use it outside of India, we suggest deleting the card from the Uber app, re-adding it, and updating the country field to match the country you are currently present in. * Please note that Uber does not currently accept prepaid cards. If you attempt to add a prepaid card, you may receive an error message.

If you are still facing an issue after following these steps, let us know and we’ll be happy to help.
