Someone else booked me a ride

WHY DID I GET A NOTIFICATION FOR A RIDE I DIDN'T BOOK?
If you received a text message saying you have a ride with Uber on the way, someone may have scheduled a ride for you. Follow the instructions in the text message to view your pickup details.

TYPES OF RIDES THAT CAN BE REQUESTED BY OTHERS
You can have three types of trips requested for you:

- Rides requested by Uber for Business organization
- Rides requested by public transit organizations
- Rides booked by friends or family

RIDES REQUESTED BY UBER FOR BUSINESS ORGANIZATION
When an Uber for Business organization requests a ride for you, you'll receive either:
- A text message to your mobile phone
- An automated call to your mobile or landline phone number
- An Uber app notification

RIDES REQUESTED BY PUBLIC TRANSIT ORGANIZATIONS
Transit rides allow someone to book a shuttle, UberX, or UberPool to get you to your destination and provide real-time information about traveling via public transportation through the Uber app.

NOTE: Transit information, prices, routes, and schedules are provided by a third party, and Uber cannot guarantee their accuracy.

FRIENDS/FAMILY/UBER BOUNCE RIDES
Uber Bounce rides allow friends and family to request a ride for someone who is in a different location.

If you don't have an Uber account, you'll receive a message with instructions for your trip along with your driver and vehicle information. If you have an Uber account, you'll receive an Uber app notification with:
- The driver's details
- The vehicle's details
- Real-time tracking for your rideIf you don't have an Uber account, you'll receive a series of text messages with instructions to follow.

CAN I CANCEL OR EDIT A RIDE THAT'S BEEN REQUESTED FOR ME BY SOMEONE ELSE?
If you need to cancel or edit your trip, please contact whoever requested your ride.

HOW DO I REPORT A SAFETY CONCERN ABOUT MY RIDE?
When drivers sign up to use the Uber platform they agree to a set of Community Guidelines, which prohibit unprofessional behavior, inappropriate physical contact, or verbal aggression.

Drivers also agree to operate vehicles safely at all times. If you experienced anything during your trip that made you feel unsafe, please select an issue below to let us know.
If you require immediate police or medical attention, or if you believe your driver is under the influence, please call 911. Once all parties are out of harm's way and the necessary authorities have been contacted, please click on the link below to speak with an Uber representative.
