Using Uber Plus Card - FAQ

QUESTION: HOW DO I GET A PLUS CARD?

Delivery people who have signed up for delivery requests where you order and pay or shop and pay for your customers are eligible to receive a Plus Card through the mail.

NOTE: Receipt of customer requests to order and pay or shop and pay is also subject to you downloading the latest version of the Driver app and your agreement to the Addendum to the Technology Services Agreement, which is available in the Driver app. Once you receive the Plus Card, you must activate it as a payment method on your account.


QUESTION: HOW CAN I SIGN UP FOR A PLUS CARD?

If you're invited to sign up to provide delivery requests that include order and pay or shop and pay, you will be able to order a Plus Card. We'll let you know if these types of delivery requests become available in your area and invite you to participate in receiving a Plus Card.


QUESTION: DO I NEED TO ACTIVATE THE PLUS CARD?

Depending on how you will receive the card, here is how to activate it:

Sent by mail:
- Once you receive the card in the mail, you can go to ‘Account’ > ‘Plus card’ to activate your card by entering the 16-digit number found on the back of the card.

- Please make sure you have the most up to date version of the app to receive order and pay or shop and pay delivery requests and to review the addendum to your Uber Services Agreement
- Contact us if you have not received your card within 1 week of requesting it
QUESTION: HOW DOES THE PLUS CARD WORK?

Once you choose to sign up to receive Order and pay or Shop and pay requests for your customer, you’ll need to sign up for a Plus Card. The Plus Card may only be used to purchase items pre-approved by a customer who has requested you to order and pay or shop and pay The Plus Card will only be authorized up to the expected order total for each delivery that requires you to order and pay or shop and pay. You can use the Plus Card or your own personal payment method for delivery requests that include Order and pay and Shop and pay.


QUESTION: HOW DO I USE THE PLUS CARD?

The Plus Card is available for use only on deliveries where your customer requests you to order and pay or shop and pay for their item(s). When you arrive at the merchant, you can pay for the order using the Plus Card or your own preferred payment method. If you choose to use the Plus Card, you can use it just as you’d use a credit card.

QUESTION: DO I NEED TO PRELOAD THE PLUS CARD?

No. You don’t need to preload the Plus Card.
When you receive a delivery where the customer requests you to order and pay or shop and pay, the Plus Card will be authorized up to the expected order total for that order. You can use the Plus Card or your own personal payment method for delivery requests that include order and pay and shop and pay.


QUESTION: DOES THE PLUS CARD REQUIRE A PIN?

In the US: No. A PIN is not required to use the Plus Card.
In Canada: Yes. You will be able to see the PIN code (8237) when using the Plus Card.

You can try swiping one more time. If the Plus Card still doesn't work, you may cancel the order, or choose to pay with your own personal payment method (such as a credit card or cash) and be reimbursed by your customer for that order.
