How to cancel a delivery request with Uber

Canceling a delivery request as an Uber driver is possible before or after you pick up an order. Please note that cancelling any order, especially after pickup, may lead to a reduce delivery fee or not fee at all.

Below are three ways to cancel Uber delivery requests:

Canceling before picking up an order

Use the Driver app to cancel the order. You won’t face any penalties for canceling before pickup.

Canceling at the restaurant, but haven’t picked up

  1. Inform the restaurant that you’re canceling by using the Driver app
  2. Leave the order at the restaurant so it can be assigned to another delivery person

Canceling after picking up an order when you can’t complete delivery

  1. Open the Driver app
  2. Tap the menu icon (three lines)
  3. Select Help
  4. Choose Call Support and tap Call Uber Support will then contact the customer to update them on the change.

Remember, canceling a delivery request may lead to a reduced rate or none at all. It’s important to communicate with the restaurant and customer promptly whenever you must cancel a delivery request.

Resolve order pick up or delivery request issues
